Competed on top level of motocross during the eighties and nineties. Motocross world champion for veterans 2007 in Glen Helen, USA.

Made his debut in racing 2008 with three race weekends in Carrera Cup after a couple of Porsche Sports Cup earlier that year with a couple of wins. Took part full season in Carrera Cup Scandinavia 2009 with 14th overall and two 10th positions as best result. Took part in Carrera Cup Scandinavia 2010 and finished 9th overall with two 5th positions as best results. Skoog has also taken part in a couple of VLN races at Nürburgring.
