Xlander Racing extends team championship lead

Xlander Racing has pulled up a gap in the team championship thanks to the strong weekend of Robin Rudholm in Karlskoga.
“We left Karlskoga with an extended lead in both the teams and drivers championship, something that feels very nice,” said team boss Louise Freidestam.

Xlander Racing is heading the championship with 13 points ahead of main rivals IPS Motorsport with four races left of the season. But Freidestam says that there is no reason to relax.
“No, on the contrary, we are more motivated to take more victories. As we enter the final stage of the championship, there is no stopping,” said Freidestam.

But with 30 points left to fight for in the team championship, Fredrik Larsson’s team IPS Motorsport still has a good chance of catching up. IPS Motorsport gained 9 points in the three previous races on Xlander Racing, before Larsson lost ground because of his off in the second race at Karlskoga.

The price for the victorious team of Carrera Cup Scandinavia 2010 is a free entry fee for the 2011 season to a value of approximately 10.000 euro. The fight for the titles continues at Ring Knutstorp on the 17-18th of September.
