Fredrik Larsson claims pole with four tenths

Fredrik Larsson was on his own during the Carrera Cup Scandinavia qualifying at Karlskoga. The IPS Motorsport driver took pole position with four tenths down to championship rival Robin Rudholm.
“I was able to set a really nice lap and I did not have that much more to give after that. It feels really good,” said Larsson.
Rudholm had to push hard, completed twice as many laps as Larsson and was not happy.
“There is not much to say, it has been a long break since the race at Falkenberg and it takes time to get back up to speed. But it is the race that counts,” said Rudholm.
Martin Öhlin, who topped the test, claimed third, just four thousands of a second behind Rudholm.
“I had a hard time getting heat in my tyres, but I am rather pleased. The goal is to fight with the guys in front of me, they are going to get a run for their money,” said Öhlin.
Jan West made his best qualifying session of the year, seven tenths from the fastest time, and claimed fourth on the grid.
The fight for fifth was really close between Roar Lindland and Oscar Palm. Lindland claimed fifth, just 0.032 seconds ahead of Palm.
Prince Carl Philip did his best qualifying of the year and is going to start from seventh on the grid in the race of the evening.
“I am pleased with seventh and I have a good feeling ahead of the race later today,” said Prince Carl Philip.
Cemoni Ohlsson, Richard Kressner and Peter Jervemyr rounded off top ten. Linus Ohlsson, who currently is sixth in the championship, had to watch the qualifying session from the pit lane after the belt for the water pump, among other things, broke on the first lap. The 19-year-old driver is going to start 19th and last because of that.
