Fredrik Larsson secured pole position for his home race at Falkenberg with three tenths ahead of championship leader Robin Rudholm.
“Pole position is what I wanted! It feels like a victory that I even managed to take part despite by injury and pole position is of course fantastic,” said Larsson.
Rudholm on the other hand was not pleased with his time in the qualifying session.
“I feel frustrated, we had problems during the qualifying. But we ought to be able to improve for the race and give Larsson a run for his money,” said Rudholm.
WestCoast Racing driver Martin Öhlin was third fastest, 0.437 seconds behind Larsson.
“I am both pleased and not pleased. But third on the grid is good with the inside line for the first corner with the inside line,” said Öhlin.
In fourth we find a happy norwegian in form of Roar Lindland who took his best qualifying position this season.
“I am really pleased, the car is fine, we are not going to change anything for the race. Now it is all about keeping your head cool as I have the outside line for the first corner,” said Lindland.
Jan West was jut five hundredths of a second behind Lindland and is going to start fifth. Oscar Palm had gearbox problems but managed sixth position on the grid despite that. Mikael Bender claimed seventh and his best qualifying of the year.
The two Flash Engineering drivers Linus Ohlsson and Prince Carl Philip were eight and ninth fastest ahead of Richard Kressner.
Cemoni Ohlsson crashed hard during the morning test and was unable to use his regular car. Instead Ohlsson drove the car of his team mate, Stefan Pettersson, during the qualifying and managed 13th fastest time ahead of the returning Poker Wallenberg Jr.
